Leeds United’s poor season continued as they lost 1-0 to Championship leaders Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites have struggled despite putting Garry Monk in charge and signing a number of new players this summer, and their latest defeat leaves them in the bottom three with just four points from their first six matches.

There is still plenty of time to turn things round but Monk will need to rectify the problems sooner rather than later, settling on a side that can score the goals and secure the points that will ensure they climb up the table in the months ahead.

One player who struggled to impress was youngster Alex Mowatt, who was again tasked with doing a job out wide despite Leeds signing a number of new wingers in the transfer window.

Mowatt is most effective when played through the middle yet Monk is not the first Leeds manager to overlook that fact.
