Leeds United reportedly want to sign Yosuke Ideguchi from Gamba Osaka in the January transfer window.

Leeds United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Yosuke Ideguchi in the January transfer window.

According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are interested in signing Ideguchi from Japanese club Gamba Osaka.

It has been reported that Leeds have started negotiations to secure the services of the 21-year-old midfielder and plan to reach an agreement ahead of the January transfer window.

Ideguchi is a very highly rated and promising midfielder who was named as the J.League Rookie of the Year in 2016.

The 21-year-old has won a number of trophies with Osaka, including the J. League Division 1 title in 2014, and has also played three times for the Japan national football team.

While some supporters are excited at the prospect of seeing the Japan international in action at Elland Road, there are others who feel that this is a marketing gimmick from the club in order to sell shirts in Japan.
