Leeds United’s Under-23s beat Nottingham Forest on Monday.
Leeds United prospect Eoghan Stokes was on target again during the Under-23s’ 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest on Monday afternoon, while first team outcast Ross Turnbull saved a last minute penalty.
Stokes, who scored twice in this month’s 4-3 win at Bolton Wanderers Under-23s, struck the game’s only goal on the stroke of half time, before Turnbull kept out Forest’s Ben Brereton at full stretch.

Both players’ acts drew a response on social media, with many believing Stokes’ recent form to be worthy of a call up to Garry Monk’s senior squad.
Meanwhile, the inclusion of Turnbull, who was removed from Leeds’ squad list earlier in the campaign, ahead of Marco Silvestri has caused some to fear the worst ahead of Tuesday’s EFL Cup visit of Norwich City.

But not before Leeds’ Twitter account took some hammer for their incorrect spelling of the ex-Chelsea man’s name…
Another out of favour first teamer, Luke Murphy, captained Jason Blunt’s side, while the absences of Gaetano Berardi and Toumani Diagouraga suggests the pair could feature against the Canaries.
