Kemar Roofe took the plaudits as Leeds demolished Newport County last night, but Stuart Dallas’ contribution did not go unnoticed.

After being left out of Leeds’ opening game of the season, the Northern Ireland international has reclaimed his place in the side with a series of impressive displays.

He scored in the weekend win away at Sunderland and last night he was key in Leeds’ Carabao Cup win.

The Whites had conceded the opening goal but levelled before half-time and then turned the screw in the second half, with Dallas combining well with hat-trick man Kemar Roofe.

Leeds have added several talented players this summer, notably attackers Ezgjan Alioski and Samu Saiz, but Dallas is showing that his Championship and international experience should not be under-estimated or discarded.
