Leeds fans were full of praise for Souleymane Doukara and Luke Ayling.

Leeds United made it six wins in the last nine Championship games on Saturday afternoon after beating Burton Albion 2-0 at Elland Road.

The Whites beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 last weekend, and after a dramatic EFL Cup win over Norwich City in midweek, Garry Monk was hoping for a third victory in a week when they hosted Burton Albion on Saturday.

After a frustrating 83 minutes, Leeds finally broke Burton Albion down, with Chris Wood converting a penalty after a foul on Souleymane Doukara.

Doukara then added a second goal in the dying stages to seal all three points, and leave Leeds just one point away from the play-off places after a fine run of form.

After the final whistle at Elland Road, fans took to Twitter to give their view on the performance, and were unsurprisingly impressed with Doukara’s cameo display.

The out-of-favour attacker Doukara came on with just 17 minutes to play, and made a huge impact by winning the penalty and scoring a goal, with fans labelling him a game changer.

Others praised coach James Beattie for his work in improving Doukara, and claimed that he looked ‘quality’ in his short cameo.

However, Doukara wasn’t man of the match according to Leeds fans. That honour went to defender Luke Ayling, as the summer signing from Bristol City was called ‘the standout’ and praised for his inspired performance.
