Leeds United fans have urged Thomas Christiansen to pick Ronaldo Vieira, after the youngster was named in the England under-20 squad.

The Three Lions’ youngsters are due to face Italy and Czech Republic over the international break.

And it could give Vieira some much needed minutes to sharpen his game, as his chances at Leeds have been very limited so far.

The midfielder has often been overlooked by Christiansen to date, with the 19-year-old yet to make a start in the Championship.

Vieira’s drop down the pecking order at Elland Road has been unexpected, and Leeds fans are now calling for the youngster to be restored to the starting line-up.

Vieira was one of Leeds’ star performers last term, and he looks to have the potential to be a star of the future.

Leeds have generally used Kalvin Phillips and Eunan O’Kane as their first choice midfield pairing this season.

Leeds are next in action this weekend, when they take on Sheffield Wednesday.
