Leeds United dropped points in the Championship again yesterday, drawing 1-1 with Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

It was a tough game for Garry Monk’s side, who were fortunate to come away with a point from the game.

The West Yorkshire side have been struggling to get the better of teams like Ipswich, who play a more combative style of football, as was evident in the recent loss to Cardiff City.

One player who particularly tends to suffer in these games is Spanish creator Pablo Hernandez.

The mercurial playmaker has become a cult hero at Leeds already because of his excellent performances in the hole behind top-scorer Chris Wood. However, in tough games like this one he has developed an unhelpful habit of going missing.

When he has time to thrive he is undoubtedly one of the best talents in the Championship, but on this occasion he simply could not find space as he was suffocated on the Portman Road pitch.

It has led to some Leeds fans voicing their displeasure at the player for his performances in such games and suggesting he may not be cut out for these fixtures.
