Norwich City and Leeds United are vying to earn promotion to the Premier League this season.

Leeds United fans on Twitter reacted in a mixed manner to Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki winning the Championship’s Player of the Season award on Sunday evening.
The EFL confirmed on their official Twitter account that the 29-year-old has won the top prize beating Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp and Birmingham City’s Che Adams, who were also on the shortlist, to the crown.
At the start of the campaign, Pukki was an unknown figure to most because he arrived at Carrow Road as a free transfer after struggling to prove his worth up in Scotland during the early part of his career.
But he has more than made a name for himself now by being the top marksman in the second tier of English football, at this moment in time, and on the verge of guiding his team to the promised land.
Nonetheless, some Leeds fans on Twitter felt that Pukki should not have been awarded the title as Player of the Season, while another questioned why strikers always get the recognition.
Here is a selection of Leeds fans on Twitter reacting to Pukki winning POTY for Norwich:
Over the course of the season, Pukki has played 37 Championship matches, scoring 26 goals and supplying his teammates with 10 assists [transfermarkt].
He scored at Elland Road earlier on in the campaign and with Daniel Farke’s side sitting top of the table he will now be looking to guide his team to the Premier League.
