Leeds United beat Norwich City on penalties in the EFL Cup last night.

Matt Grimes’ performance for Leeds United against Norwich City appears to have completely divided supporters of the Elland Road club.

Grimes was handed a rare start for Leeds in the EFL Cup, as Garry Monk’s side picked up a dramatic victory to make it into the quarter finals.

Leeds went behind twice against Norwich, but they fought back to go on to win the tie on penalties.

Grimes played for the entirety of the match, and he even missed a penalty during the shoot-out, and his display has drawn a very mixed reaction.

While some Leeds fans have praised the Swansea City’s loanee’s passing range, other have criticised his performance.

Grimes’ start at Leeds has not gone according to plan, and he already appears to have a battle on his hands to win a place in Garry Monk’s starting line-up at Elland Road.

Whether the central-midfield will remain in the first-team after last night’s EFL Cup clash remains to be seen, as Leeds have been in good form of late.

The Whites have now won seven of their last 10 outings, and Monk has plenty of selection decisions to ponder ahead of his side’s next match, which comes against Burton Albion on Saturday.
