Marco Silvestri is linked with a Leeds United exit this summer.

According to TuttoBolognaWeb, Serie A outfit Bologna are exploring the idea of signing Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.
The out-of-favour Leeds stopper did not manage a single Championship appearance last term after being displaced by Garry Monk signing Robert Green in the summer.

The Italian did, however, give a very decent account of himself in the cup competitinos – especially the Capital One Cup where he helped United reach the quarter-final of the competition.
Silvestri was the hero in Leeds’ fourth-round clash at Norwich City when he saved three penalties in the shootout to help secure a last-eight date with Liverpool.
He was the Whites’ first-choice keeper for his first two seasons at Elland Road, clocking 88 Championship appearances, and some fans of the Yorkshire club are not thrilled by speculation linking him with a move away.

With Monk no longer manager following his shock resignation, Silvestri and Green will begin pre-season on par with one another as they bid to impress the 38-year-old’s successor, whoever that may be.
There is every chance that the former Chievo stopper would win the number one shirt back, providing he is around long enough to do so.
