Leeds United supporters are not at all keen on the rumours that Steve Bruce could be brought in at Elland Road.

The Daily Star claim that Paul Heckingbottom could be replaced by Bruce, whose future at Aston Villa is in doubt.

Steve Bruce, Manager of Aston Villa looks dejected during the Sky Bet Championship Play Off Final between Aston Villa and Fulham at Wembley Stadium on May 26, 2018 in London, England.

Villa’s failure to earn promotion means that they are in financial trouble, and that could cause Bruce’s departure.

Leeds are said to be monitoring the situation, but Whites fans really don’t want Bruce at Elland Road.

Bruce guided Villa to the play offs this term, but could not get the Midlands side over the line.

The 57-year-old does have experience at winning promotions from the Championship though, and would be a higher profile appointment than Heckingbottom.

Heckingbottom only took charge towards the back end of last season, but his future is in doubt this summer, as Leeds disappointingly slipped from the edge of the play offs down to mid-table.
