Poor defending cost Leeds United as they crashed to a 4-1 defeat away to Wolves.
The Whites were 2-0 down at half-time and Wolves proved too strong as Leeds played the final half an hour with 10 men after midfielder Ronaldo Vieira was sent off.
Club captain Liam Cooper’s performance came under particular scrutiny, with the centre-back part of a unit which performed poorly.
While the entire defence was disappointing, Cooper did not help, conceding unnecessary free-kicks and failing to clear his lines effectively.
Last season Cooper was only used as a back-up, and it was a surprise when he was handed the club captaincy early on in the campaign by new boss Thomas Christiansen.
Cooper was better in the victory over Middlesbrough at the weekend, but this was a step backwards and reignited the doubts.
Supporters are unconvinced over his quality and are open to him being replaced, not just as captain, but in the team entirely.
