Bartley has, perhaps, not received the same adulation as his usual centre-back partner Pontus Jansson since moving to Elland Road.
However, the Swansea City loanee has been in wonderful form over recent weeks – and he was once again excellent when Leeds took on Rotherham United yesterday.
Bartley scored the Whites’ opening goal in the match, before Chris Wood added a brace to seal a comprehensive triumph.
And Leeds fans are now desperate for Bartley to sign permanently at Elland Road, as they feel he has become a true leader for their team.
Bartley’s goal for Leeds means that he is now joint-second in the club’s scoring charts, despite playing at centre-back.
The powerful defender’s willingness to attack the ball makes him a major attacking weapon from set-pieces, but he has also proved rock solid at the back.
Leeds have conceded just one goal in the last four matches which Bartley has played, and that has helped them move up to fifth in the Championship standings.
