Former Leeds United ace linked with return.
Could Leeds United really spring a surprise deal to re-sign former academy star Fabian Delph?
It sounds like a tall order, but according to TeamTalk, there is mutual interest on both sides over a potential deal, although Manchester City are unwilling to let him leave.

There is also interest from other parties including Premier League clubs, but Leeds’ high placing of third in the Championship at least puts them in contention.
They could genuinely sell themselves to Delph as an attractive football move, rather than simply a nostalgic step backwards.
Injuries have meant Delph has not started a league game for Manchester City this season, but Pep Guardiola is understood to still be keen to see what he can do.

Delph is still just 27-years-old and should have many years ahead of him in the top flight, and will have to consider his England ambitions.
Leeds themselves have a solid midfield with Ronaldo Vieira emerging as a highly promising talent. Delph would strengthen them, but he is more of a luxury than a necessity at this stage for the club.
