The FA has announced that Leeds United head coach Garry Monk and Huddersfield boss David Wagner will both face game suspensions.

The bans come after the pair were charged following an altercation when the two sides met earlier this month.

Monk stepped into the path of an exuberantly celebrating Wagner after a late winner, sparking a late melee which saw players having to be separated.

Wagner has a two game ban as he was charged with two offences, with Monk only facing one.

Both teams have been fined £10,000 and warned as to their future conduct.

The ban kicks in with immediate effect, meaning Leeds boss Monk will not be on the touchline for the fixture away at Birmingham City this weekend.

Wagner will have to watch Huddersfield’s home game with Newcastle United from the stands on Saturday.

Leeds fans reacted angrily to the ban, feeling Monk did nothing wrong and should not have picked up a suspension…
