Leeds winger lived up to the hype with a bright display on his pre-season debut.
Leeds United held Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach to a 1-1 draw yesterday in their most significant pre-season friendly so far.
The match gave last season’s top scorer Chris Wood time to play with new signings Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski, who sealed his move last week.

Matthew Pennington also featured after clinching a loan move from Everton, with striker Caleb Ekuban also coming off the bench.
Defender Luke Ayling was a surprise goalscorer, but it was Alioski who caught the eye.
The Macedonian winger gave away a free-kick which led to Moenchengladbach’s goal, but from an attacking perspective he was a threat throughout, providing chances for striker Chris Wood.
Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen
It was an encouraging performance from a player who scored 17 times and provided 14 assists in the Swiss Super League last season, and it looks already as though Leeds have a bargain.
He may take a little adjusting to English football, but if he can get off to a fast start then he could be in for a fantastic season, and so could the team.
Fans are very excited about his potential impact, and had positive words to say after seeing Alioski in action for the first time…
