No Leeds United players were shortlisted for the Championships Player of the Season.

Many Leeds fans on Twitter were left utterly perplexed after no Whites players were not named on the shortlist for the EFL’s Player of the Season for the Championship.
On Tuesday afternoon, the EFL announced on their official Twitter account that Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp, Birmingham City’s Che Adams and Norwich hitman Teemu Pukki are the three players shortlisted.
All the names nominated were strikers, with midfielders, wide players, defenders and goalkeepers not acknowledged by the EFL.
Leeds supporters on Twitter felt that playmaker Pablo Hernandez deserved to be on that list, with one fan labelling it ‘nonsense’ that he was not even recognised.
Another fan stated that Hernandez is the best player in the second tier of English football and should have been on that shortlist. The experienced midfielder will no doubt want to do his talking on the field and guide Leeds to automatic promotion.
Hernandez has been a key player for Marcelo Bielsa in the middle of the park as he has provided that magic and creativity for his team whenever they have needed it.
Here is a selection of Leeds fans on Twitter reacting to the shortlist:
Over the course of the season, Hernandez has played 30 league games for his side, scoring 10 goals and supplying his teammates with 11 assists [transfermarkt].
He has found the back of the net against West Brom, Sheffield United and Norwich this season – all three teams are most likely going to finish in the top four.
