Leeds United picked up a big win on Tuesday evening, beating Southampton 3-0 at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men rode their luck a little in the first half as they avoided a penalty on Nathan Tella before Che Adams had a goal ruled out.

In the second half though, Leeds took over with Patrick Bamford firing home from a Tyler Roberts pass, before Stuart Dallas added a second.

Raphinha then fired in a free kick to make it 3-0, with Leeds claiming an important three points as they move up to 10th in the Premier League table.

This was an important day for Diego Llorente, as the Spaniard was given a start in defence and he actually managed to complete the full 90 minutes.

The defender has picked up repeated injuries this season and lasted just 10 minutes against Newcastle United last month, leaving fans to wonder if they would ever see the best of the 27-year-old.

He impressed on Tuesday though, completing 90 minutes for Leeds for the first time since his summer move from Real Sociedad.

Fans took to Twitter to praise Llorente was ‘real class’ and ‘brilliant’, feeling that he was very impressive throughout.

His progressive passing – particularly for Bamford’s goal – was spotted, and fans can’t wait to see more of him moving forward.
