Out of favour Leeds United midfielder scored for the under-23 side.
Leeds United’s Toumani Diagouraga
A couple of familiar faces featured in Leeds United’s under-23 squad last night as they took on Bolton Wanderers.
Toumani Diagouraga and Luke Murphy were among the starters, getting much needed game time after being omitted from the first team squad in recent weeks.
The midfielders have been left out of recent squads, despite Murphy captaining the club in pre-season and Diagouraga starting the opening game of the Championship campaign.

The signings of Liam Bridcutt and Eunan O’Kane, as well as the rise to the first team of youngsters Kalvin Phillips and Ronaldo Vieira has meant Murphy and Diagouraga are effectively surplus to requirements.
Yet it remains a long time until the January transfer window opens, and last night’s game will have been welcome for the pair.
It was an entertaining game, with Leeds winning the match 4-3, with Diagouraga even getting on the scoresheet in the first half, rifling home from 10 yards out.
Diagouraga has been with Leeds less than a year, signing from Brentford in January under former boss Steve Evans.
While a path back to the first team is uncertain, Diagouraga and Murphy can at least keep themselves match fit by playing for the under-23 team, enabling them to hit the ground running for their new clubs when they inevitably move on in the next transfer window.
Here is a look at how Leeds fans reacted to Diagouraga scoring and helping Leeds to a win…
