The former Huddersfield Town manager was involved in one or two intriguing battles with Leeds United during his reign.

Some Leeds United fans are reacting to David Wagner’s departure from Huddersfield Town.
Wagner left Huddersfield by mutual consent on Monday, with his side rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
Nevertheless, his three-year reign at the Kirklees Stadium will no doubt live fondly in the memories of the Terriers’ supporters, who witnessed the German-American turn a team flirting with League One into one that survived its first ever season at Premier League level – bypassing their local rivals, Leeds, in the process.
During that time, Huddersfield and Leeds were involved in one or two intriguing battles, in particular the one in which a coming together of Wagner and the then-Whites boss Garry Monk sparked a touchline brawl back in early 2017.

Despite that, however, there are several of a Leeds persuasion who currently feel sympathy for Wagner.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Leeds remain on course to replace Huddersfield in next season’s Premier League, having opened up a four-point lead on the play-off places at the top of the table.
