A large number of Leeds United fans wish they had signed Birmingham City striker Che Adams rather than Patrick Bamford.

The Whites were beaten 1-0 by Birmingham yesterday, with Adams on the scoresheet.

The Blues front man caused Leeds’ defence plenty of problems, with his pace and agility.

Bamford, meanwhile, was Leeds’ most expensive signing of the summer, but he is badly out of form right now.

The former Middlesbrough man wasted a glorious opportunity to put Leeds in front in the first half and his link-up play was very poor.

And many Leeds fans have been left wishing that Adams was their player after his display yesterday.

If Leeds were to sign Adams then he would cost big money, as Birmingham were asking for £15 million for their star striker in January (Daily Mail).

The defeat at St. Andrews has severely damaged Leeds’ chances of promotion, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side slipping out of the top two.

Leeds are next in action in midweek when they take on Preston North End in another tough looking fixture.
