Promising Leeds United youngster has left the club.
Talented Leeds United prospect Callum Nicell is now looking for a new club.
The Whites confirmed via the club website yesterday that Nicell has been released from his contract.
Nicell, 19, was a couple of years ago regarded as one of Leeds’ most exciting prospects.
But it is not always easy for players to keep up momentum.
Young prospects like Hugo Diaz, Oriol Rey, Oliver Sarkic and Sam Dalby have all left Leeds this summer and now Nicell has joined them.
The midfielder has seemingly been overtaken by other young players, with Alfie McCalmont making his first team debut in the Carabao Cup this season.
It is a shame for Nicell for his Leeds career to end, but this is also an opportunity for him.
Now he has a chance to find a new club and start afresh, and use his Leeds disappointment as motivation.
