Leeds United striker grabbed a debut goal.
Caleb Ekuban enjoyed a successful debut for Leeds United as he scored in a 4-1 win over Port Vale.
The 23-year-old was an unheralded summer buy from Chievo, after spending last season on loan in Albania.
Nobody really knew what to expect from the forward, but the signs last night were encouraging.
Ekuban linked play well and took his goal well on a stunning counter attacking which linked in Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski.

While Saiz understandably will take the headlines after his fantastic hat-trick, Ekuban’s display was also reason for fans to celebrate.
Last season Leeds lacked a viable alternative to striker Chris Wood, and it is still possible they add another striker this transfer window.

If they do not, then Ekuban’s performance suggests Leeds are already stronger than last season, and he has a shot of providing a very different and more mobile alternative to Wood, who could even play up top with the New Zealand ace.
Here is a look at how Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to his performance…
