Leeds United have announced via their official club website that they have agreed a prestigious new partnership.

The deal is an agreement with the Royal Navy, and the Whites will support the efforts of HMS Audacious.

Leeds previously had a deal where they supported the efforts of HMS Ark Royal, and officers and staff of HMS Audacious recently visited Elland Road.

Speaking via the club website, Logistics Officer Lt Noel Wilson said: “We are delighted to announce an affiliation with Leeds and this bond of friendship has been extended to Leeds Utd who are keen supporters of the Armed Forces.

“We look forward to marching on together and further building the links already formed when we attend the Reading Game.”

The deal is not a big money agreement likely to net the Whites a big pot of cash, but it does show that off the pitch the club is working hard to build links with partners, and this particularly one is with the backing of Leeds City Council.

This is part of Leeds being a community club and working with partners in the local area, while hoping to ensure supporters remain proud of the team on and off the pitch.
