Leeds United fans appear to have had a mixed reaction to the news that Alfonso Pedraza won’t be coming back to Elland Road next season.

Pedraza joined Leeds on loan in January, and had a fairly productive spell in Yorkshire.

The Spaniard was given regular game time by Garry Monk, and there were suggestions that he could return to Leeds.

However, Pedraza’s comments to Marca in Spain suggest that he won’t be coming back to Elland Road.

He said (as translated by Sports Witness): “What I want is to play. This year I would like to stay in Spain and gain experience.”

Pedraza’s comments have disappointed some Leeds fans, who were eager for the winger to return.

However, others have suggested that losing out on Pedraza is not much of a blow at all.

Pedraza made 14 Championship appearances for Leeds, scoring one goal during his time in Yorkshire.
