Burnley are among the clubs being credited with interest in Jansson, for whom Leeds United are said to have paid £3.6 million last summer.

Pontus Jansson of Leeds United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Barnsley and Leeds United at Oakwell Stadium on November 25, 2017 in Barnsley, England.

Leeds United supporters are reacting on Twitter after Whites defender Pontus Jansson was linked with a move to Premier League Burnley.

The Sun on Sunday reported that Jansson is being eyed by the Clarets – along with West Ham United and unnamed Turkish and French clubs – ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Sweden international earned cult hero status during his first season at Elland Road, but has been unable to replicate his early form since signing a permanent deal there.

And a large number of Leeds fans would be willing to move him on should an offer come in, almost six months to the day since they celebrated news of Jansson’s new five-year contract.

Here’s what they’re saying about the speculation…

Burnley twice raided Leeds during last summer’ transfer window, and a reunion with Charlie Taylor and Chris Wood across the Pennines – not to mention the prospect of European football next season, something West Ham cannot offer – could appeal to Jansson.

At what price – if any – should Leeds sell Jansson, if Burnley et al firm up their alleged interest?
