The Leeds United defender has been released from his contract.
Leeds United have confirmed that defender Giuseppe Bellusci’s contract has been terminated by mutual consent this summer and it is not before time.
The Italian centre-back spent last season back in his homeland on loan at Empoli, who ended the campaign consigned to relegation.

As a consequence, any chance of a permanent return for Bellusci was dead in the water, leaving him to return to Leeds and begin his pre-season preparations in the Whites’ first-team fold.
Soon enough, though, new Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen confirmed there was no future for the 27-year-old in Yorkshire and he has now been released from his contract, allowing him to find a new club.
Few players are universally derided as much as Bellusci is among his own “fans”, with his Leeds career reaching its nadir when he produced the horror show to end all horror shows against Middlesbrough, scoring one of the most bizarre own goals in living memory.
Now his Leeds career is over and he will be hoping for a fresh start elsewhere, with a free transfer now potentially making it easier to find a new club.
