Pennington has returned to Everton following a loan spell at Leeds United.

Leeds United fans are reacting on Twitter after Everton handed a new three-year contract to Matthew Pennington.
Pennington returned to Goodison Park last week following the culmination of a season-long loan spell at Leeds.
The centre-back played 24 times for Leeds, but never properly convinced at Elland Road.

And at 23, with little more than a year to run on his previous deal, few Whites fans were anticipating what was about to follow for Pennington – as evidenced by the following tweets…
Pennington played nine times for Everton before heading to Leeds, whose intentions for the player were unclear.
The Warrington native has also spent time at Tranmere Rovers, Coventry City and Walsall.
And Everton’s decision to renew his contract does make some sense, when you consider that Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams are coming to the end of their careers.
