Ryan Edmondson scored for the Leeds United Under-23 side against their Newcastle United counterparts on Monday.

Leeds United fans have praised Ryan Edmondson on Twitter for his performance for the Under-23 side against their Newcastle United counterparts on Monday evening.
Edmondson featured for the Leeds Under-23 side against their Newcastle counterparts in the Premier League Cup at Guiseley’s Nethermoor Park.
The 17-year-old former York City striker played well for the Whites and scored twice in their 3-1 win.
The talented and promising teenager scored first goal of the evening in the 24th minute and his second just two minutes into the second period.
Edmondson has taken to Twitter to revel in the win, and Leeds fans have responded to his message and have praised him.

First-team chances
Edmondson has already got chances for the Leeds first team, but for now, he is part of the Under-23 side.
It is hard to see the 17-year-old get too much playing time under head coach Marcelo Bielsa this season, but the teenager could be made part of the first team on a regular basis during the 2019-20 campaign if he continues to play well and develops.
