Pontus Jansson returned to the Leeds United after being dropped at the weekend, but did not have the greatest of games against Leicester City.
Leeds made 10 changes to the team which beat Bristol City days earlier, with only Kalvin Phillips keeping his place.
Jansson was Leeds’ star man last season, but he has been suspect defensively in recent weeks and did not do his cause much good at the King Power Stadium.
The centre-back was involved in a lack of communication for Leicester’s first goal, and almost let the Foxes in to score early in the second half with an errant backpass.
He was beaten by Islam Slimani for Leicester’s second goal, and looked a shadow of the dominant defender who won Leeds’ hearts last season.
Liam Cooper and Matthew Pennington are the current first choice for Leeds judging on last weekend, and Jansson appears to have missed a chance to convince Thomas Christiansen to reconsider.
