Leeds United will travel to Championship rivals Middlesbrough at the weekend.

Middlesbrough were knocked out of the FA Cup by League Two side Newport Port County on Tuesday night, but Leeds fans on Twitter now expect them to turn up for their Championship clash at the weekend.

It is fair to say that Leeds will understand the feeling Boro supporters are going through because they suffered their own FA Cup defeat against Newport in January 2018 [BBC Sport].
Nonetheless, despite Pulis’ side suffering such a demoralising defeat days before a crucial promotion clash, some Leeds fans on Twitter are now expecting them to do the business when they meet at the weekend.
One Whites fan stated that the northeast outfit were ‘shambolic’ against Newport and it’s now a ‘fact’ that they will ‘turn up’ on Saturday.
Another supporter warned that he will get ‘seriously concerned’ if Marcelo Bielsa’s side don’t get anything at the Riverside Stadium.
Here is a selection of Leeds supporters on Twitter reacting to Boro’s FA Cup exit:
At this moment in time, Leeds are sitting in an automatic place, level with leaders Norwich and seven points ahead of fifth-placed Boro, who have a game in hand on their rivals.
By the time the game kicks off on Saturday, Bielsa and his team could find themselves sitting in the playoff places because third-placed Sheffield United, who are three points behind, travel to Aston Villa on Friday night.
