Marcus Antonsson is linked with a Leeds United exit.

Leeds United fans on Twitter seem to be in agreement that Marcus Antonsson should be sold.

According to Futboll Direkt, as many as five Swedish clubs are interested in signing the striker, who joined Leeds for £1.2 million from Kalmar last summer.

The 26-year-old only managed one goal in 16 Championship outings last season – six of which were from the start – before being frozen out of the squad by then-boss Garry Monk.

Antonsson did, at times, look like a decent buy and although his attitude was never in question, his capacity to score goals in England is and fans of the Yorkshire club believe it is time to cut him loose.

If Antonsson wants to play football, he should leave Elland Road.

He has little to no chance of replacing Chris Wood in the first XI, if the New Zealand hitman, who scored 30 times last season, picks up where he left off, while Caleb Ekuban’s arrival has arguably pushed him down the pecking order.
