But according to WhoScored’s statistics, it was Luke Ayling, back in his favoured right-back role after Jansson’s return from suspension, who was the Whites’ top performer on the night.

Ayling, for whom Leeds paid Bristol City a reported fee of £750,000 in August, is yet to miss a single minute of Leeds’ Championship campaign, barring their opening day defeat to QPR, at which point he was still a Robins player.
The 25-year-old had filled in at centre-half in Leeds’ previous two fixtures.
