Leeds United have signed Matthew Pennington on loan from Everton for the season.

Matthew Pennington has been criticised by Leeds United fans, after suggesting that he doesn’t believe that there is a problem at the club.
He said to Radio Yorkshire: “If you look at the table we’re in a strong position. I don’t think there’s a problem at the moment.”
Leeds have lost four of their last five matches, and have begun to slide down the Championship table.
The Whites looked to be among the leading promotion contenders over the early part of the campaign, but they have been alarmingly poor of late.

Although Leeds did beat Bristol City, their other performances have been very disappointing.
Thomas Christiansen’s side are still in fifth place in the Championship table, but they have a whole host of teams breathing down their necks.
And Pennington’s suggestion that Leeds do not currently have a problem has not gone down well with their supporters.
Leeds lost their most recent match 2-1 to Sheffield United, and they were outplayed by their Yorkshire rivals.
The Blades have now gone top of the Championship table, and proven that Leeds have work to do, if they are to be in the mix for promotion at the end of the season.
