Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the prospect of watching Andy Lonergan play for Liverpool against Southampton this weekend.
Lonergan recently joined Premier League club Liverpool on a free transfer, having left Championship outfit Middlesbrough at the end of last season.
The Reds will take on Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
Alisson is the first-choice goalkeeper at Anfield, but the Brazilian is already sidelined with injury.
Former West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian, signed on a free transfer this summer, has an ankle injury and is doubtful for the match.
That has opened the door for Lonergan, who is 35 years of age and is the third-choice goalkeeper at Liverpool.
The Englishman had two spells at Leeds, and the goalkeeper did not have a great time at Elland Road.
