Leeds United are due to take on Bristol City tomorrow.

Some Leeds United fans have disagreed with Paul Heckingbottom, after he told Leeds Live that his side’s match against Bristol City wasn’t a must-win game.

Leeds lost Heckingbottom’s first game in charge against Sheffield United 2-1, to sink even further away from the play offs.

The Whites are now eight points behind sixth placed Bristol City, who they are likely to need to beat if they are to catch them this season.

However, Heckingbottom has suggested that Leeds are not under extreme pressure to get the three points.

He said: “It’s not a must-win. It’s a game we want to win to keep in the hunt.”

There is now a section of Leeds fans who feel that Heckingbottom is wrong to not put his players under pressure, while others feel he is being sensible with his comments.

Leeds have failed to win any of their last eight matches in all competitions, with concerns growing over their form.

If Heckingbottom’s Leeds side do beat Bristol City, they could move to within five points of the play offs, which would give them some reason for optimism in the final stages of the campaign.
