Leeds United finally claimed their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday, beating Watford 1-0 as Daniel James made a real impact.
The Whites had endured a frustrating start to the season and desperately needed to beat Watford to kickstart their season.
That win did come as Diego Llorente’s first half goal securing all three points for Leeds.
This also proved to be Xisco Munoz’s final game as Watford boss, as he was sacked just 24 hours later.
It wasn’t vintage Marcelo Bielsa, and Leeds will still need to improve moving forward, but a win is a win.
Daniel James comments on Leeds crowd
Leeds created plenty of chances – 20 to be exact – but Daniel James didn’t manage to create any of them.
Much is expected of James after his big move from Manchester United.

You may look at zero key passes against Watford and just nine passes completed and wonder whether he’s having an impact.
James pressed brilliantly against Watford though with his work off the ball outstanding – the end product on the ball will surely come with time.
After the game, James took to Instagram to pass comment on the atmosphere.
James suggested that Elland Road was ‘rocking’, praising the Leeds faithful for their support as they finally experienced three points again.
