Leeds United were beaten 1-0 yesterday, and Marcelo Bielsa has not avoided criticism.

Leeds United fans have been left baffled by Marcelo Bielsa’s decision to bring on Stuart Dallas in their defeat to Birmingham.

Dallas is far from the most popular player at Elland Road, yet Bielsa seems to be a big fan of the Northern Irish international.

Dallas was introduced to Leeds’ match at half-time yesterday, when the Whites were trailing 1-0 to Birmingham.

However, he failed to have much of an impact, as Leeds sunk to a frustrating defeat.

And Leeds fans still cannot work out why Bielsa turned to Dallas to change the game, rather than Kemar Roofe, who was also on the substitutes’ bench.

Leeds’ defeat to Birmingham has damaged their hopes of promotion considerably, as they have now slipped out of the top two.

Sheffield United have reclaimed an automatic promotion spot, leaving Leeds playing catch up.

Bielsa’s men are next in action in midweek, when they take on Preston North End.
