Leeds United fans have criticised Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn on Twitter.

McGinn was in action for Villa in their Championship game against Leeds away from home at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

The Scotland international midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it finished in a 1-1 draw.

The 24-year-old former St. Mirren and Hibernian star played well for the Villans and was his usual self on the ball, and he also worked hard and did his best to drive his team forward.

According to WhoScored, against Leeds at Elland Road on Sunday, McGinn took three shots of which two were on target, had a pass accuracy of 72.2%, won one header, took 40 touches, made two tackles, one interception and one clearance, and blocked two shots,

Leeds fans, though, were not impressed with McGinn’s moaning and his challenges, and thought that the Scotland international midfielder should have been sent off for his challenge on Adam Forshaw in the second half – he was shown a yellow card for the foul he committed.
