Leeds United fans have called for Mateusz Klich to be given another chance at Elland Road next season.

Klich was sent out on loan to Utrecht in the January transfer window, after failing to break into Thomas Christiansen’s starting line-up during his first six months at the Yorkshire side.

Since moving to Holland, Klich has been in good form, and the Leeds loanee put in a particularly impressive performance at the weekend.

Klich created 11 chances for his Utrecht teammates in their match against Heracles, which is the highest total any player in Holland has managed since 2012.

And Leeds fans now want Paul Heckingbottom to partner Klich with Adam Forshaw in midfield next term.

Whether Klich will get another opportunity to impress remains to be seen.

Heckingbottom is yet to be able to assess the Polish international’s talents first-hand, but Leeds do have a lot of midfield options and are understood to be keen to offload some of their fringe players this summer.
