Leeds United fans want Claudio Ranieri, after it was confirmed that the Italian would be leaving Nantes at the end of the season.

Ranieri’s Nantes side are currently in 10th place in the Ligue 1 table, with just one match to play.

But the Italian is not sticking with the French club, which means that he will be free to seek work in the summer.

And Leeds fans want him to be offered the opportunity to come to Elland Road.

If Ranieri was signed by Leeds he certainly would be a high profile appointment.

Ranieri was the mastermind behind Leicester City’s title win, and he has also taken charge of Chelsea during his time in the Premier League.

Leeds currently have Paul Heckingbottom in charge, but supporters have not been won over by the former Barnsley boss.

Heckingbottom took over at Leeds part way through this season, but took them from the outskirts of the play offs down into mid-table.
