Chris Wood was one of the best players for Leeds United and the best striker in the Championship last season.

The New Zealand international striker enjoyed arguably his best career last season, scoring as many as 27 goals and providing four assists in 41 Championship starts during the 2016-17 campaign.

The 25-year-old moved to Burnley in the Premier League in the summer transfer window, and he seems to be doing just fine in the top flight of English football.

Wood, who scored one goal and provided one assist in three Championship appearances for Leeds this season before his switch to Burnley, has scored two goals in two Premier League matches for the Clarets.

Chris Wood of Burnley scores his sides first goal during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley at Wembley Stadium on August 27, 2017 in London, England.

The former Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion striker scored in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley before the international break.

Earlier today, the New Zealand international found the net for Burnley after just three minutes against Crystal Palace, as Sean Dyche’s side won the match 1-0 at Turf Moor.

Leeds fans, though, are not missing Wood, as they have a new hero in Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

Signed from Hamburg on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window, the 25-year-old striker scored twice on his Championship debut against Burton Albion at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds won the match 5-0 to maintain their unbeaten start to the season and are now just two points behind leaders Cardiff City in second place.

As the following comments on Twitter suggest, Leeds fans are not missing Wood anymore.
