Leeds United do not appear to be considering switching to a two striker formation right now.

Marcelo Bielsa manager of Leeds United arrives prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Derby County at Elland Road on September 21, 2019 in Leeds, England.

Leeds United fans have not taken kindly to Marcelo Bielsa’s comments to the Yorkshire Evening Post about potentially playing with two strikers.

Leeds were unable to beat Derby County at the weekend, despite dominating for much of the contest.

It was a familiar story at Elland Road, where Leeds’ form is becoming a concern.

Many Leeds supporters feel that they could benefit from starting both Eddie Nketiah and Patrick Bamford up-front together.

However, Bielsa has suggested that may not be for the best.

“If we play with two goalscorers, maybe we take Forshaw, Klich or Shackleton out, I think that one centre forward without two midfielders behind him is going to worsen the building of the attack,” he said.

Leeds fans disagree with those comments though, as they think that Bielsa’s tactics actually need tweaking.

Despite Leeds’ failure to beat Derby, their start to the season still needs to be reflected on very positively.

Leeds remain at the top of the Championship table, after taking 17 points from eight games so far.

The Whites are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Charlton Athletic, and it remains to be seen whether Nketiah will be brought into their starting line-up.
