Leeds United will take on promotion rivals Aston Villa on Sunday.
Leeds United supporters on Twitter have vented their anger towards CrossCountry Trains after it was announced there will be a reduced service leading up to their clash against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Championship leaders, who will make the trip from Yorkshire to Birmingham, advised their fans on their official Twitter account to make ‘alternative arrangements’ because the train company will have a reduced service due to the lack of crew available.
Understandably, the decision has angered the Elland Road faithful because they have been told this news only three days before their weekend encounter.
Marco Bielsa’s side travel to the Midlands on the back of a five-game winning run, whilst their opponents are unbeaten in their last seven league encounters.
Leeds were beaten 1-0 the last time they visited Villa Park when striker Lewis Grabban netted the only goal of the game for the home side.
But rather than talking about the mouthwatering fixture that will take place in front of a capacity crowd of 42,000 supporters, the Leeds faithful were annoyed at the ‘absolute joke’ decision by CrossCountry Trains.
One fan claimed that he paid ‘£392’ for ‘our train tickets’ as he urged the company to sort out the problematic situation with two days still left before kick-off.
Others simply expressed their anger as Leeds will remain in the automatic places come Christmas Day regardless of the results at the weekend.
