Celtic are reportedly keen on signing West Bromwich Albion’s Rakeem Harper.

Leeds United duo Tyler Roberts and Kemar Roofe both came through the West Bromwich Albion academy along with Rakeem Harper as the Midlands-based player is now being touted for a move to Celtic.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Celtic have joined the race for the highly-rated Albion ace, whose contract at the Hawthorns runs out next month.
It is said that the 19-year-old midfielder is refusing to pen down a new contract which has alerted other clubs, and he was a guest at Parkhead last Sunday as the Bhoys celebrated their Scottish Premiership title.
There is no doubt that Celtic should push on with the Harper deal because Albion’s academy has proven its worth in recent times.
Leeds United’s attacking duo, Roberts and Roofe have had successful seasons in the Championship this term and they have come through the same system as Harper.
If the teenager can match and produce the talents they have been showcasing then whichever team Harper is playing for, he will no doubt succeed.

That is why Celtic should push for Harper because he can be a success at Parkhead and provide that extra spark in the middle of the park for the Glasgow club.
Harper is very comfortable on the ball and he has the ability to go both ways if need be. Added with that, he prefers the attacking side of the game, which will bode well for a team that has that kind of style in their DNA.
Added with that, the Albion man is still relatively young and if the Bhoys want to continue their dominance then signing someone like Harper will only increase their chances of being successful in the medium to long term.
