Leeds United fans on Twitter have been discussing the current situation of Samuel Saiz and the decision to pay the attacking midfielder in the Under-23 game against Crewe Alexandra on Monday afternoon.

Saiz, who can also operate as a forward, started the match against Crewe, was an unused substitute during Leeds’s 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic away from home at the DW Stadium in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Saiz has provided two assists in 14 Championship starts for Leeds so far this season, according to WhoScored.
