Servette defender Diogo Monteiro is closing in on a move to Leeds United having undergone a medical with the Whites today.
That’s according to Sky Sports, who claim that Monteiro has been undergoing his medical this afternoon.
Reports from the Daily Mail last week suggested that Leeds had ramped up their talks to sign Monteiro before the transfer deadline.
It’s unclear just how much Leeds are paying for Monteiro in terms of a transfer fee but Servette will have a sell-on clause as part of the deal.
Weston McKennie is heading in from Juventus and it looks like Monteiro will join him as Leeds look to finalise two signings ahead of the deadline.

Monteiro, 18, was born in Geneva and has come through the Servette ranks since joining from Etoile Carouge in 2017.
Servette’s academy has produced the likes of Denis Zakaria and Kevin Mbabu, as well as former Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos.
Monteiro now appears to be their next big thing and there are high hopes for the young defender.
Despite being born in Switzerland, Monteiro is a Portugal Under-19 international with three caps to his name.
The teenager turned 18 over the weekend, meaning he is now able to complete his move to Elland Road.
Monteiro has played three league games for Servette this season as well as three Swiss Cup outings.
The centre back now has seven first-team appearances to his name and a move to the Premier League looks imminent.
Leeds will hope to develop Monteiro into a first-team talent, just as they did with Pascal Struijk.
