Leeds United fell to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Manchester United on Sunday – and Jamie Redknapp has slammed defender Diego Llorente.
The Whites turned in a poor first-half performance and fell 2-0 down to goals from Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes.
Leeds roared back after the break, scoring twice in two minutes as Rodrigo and Raphinha both scored to turn the game on its head.
United found another gear though and grabbed the win, with substitutes Fred and Anthony Elanga finding the net for Ralf Rangnick’s side.
Leeds had a pretty dire weekend all things considered, with both Burnley and Watford claiming big wins in the battle for survival.
Add in another positive Newcastle result and Leeds find themselves being dragged right back into the relegation scrap.
Marcelo Bielsa isn’t about to change his style of play but Leeds look so open defensively, especially from set pieces.
Manchester United had gone almost a year without scoring from a corner, but Maguire’s header looked incredibly easy.
After the game, pundit Jamie Redknapp spoke to Sky Sports (21/02, 7:10pm) and was particularly disappointed with Leeds defender Diego Llorente.
Llorente was marking Maguire for United’s opening goal but was neither use nor ornament in the Leeds penalty area.

Redknapp suggested that he ‘can’t stand’ the way Llorente defended, as he didn’t look at the ball at any point during the set piece being taken.
Redknapp claims there is ‘no excuse’ for Llorente’s terrible defending, branding it ‘not good enough’ as he was too focused on Maguire.
“The player I really want to focus on is Llorente,” said Redknapp. “I can’t stand it. When the corner is coming in, you obviously have to be able to see the ball and look at the man. But what Llorente does, there’s no excuse for it. You’ve got to be looking at the ball.”
“As the corner comes in, he never once looks at the ball – all he’s looking at is Maguire. He’s focused so much on him, he doesn’t look, he doesn’t know where the ball is, he cannot see it and the ball just lands on Harry Maguire’s head. I don’t know what he’s trying to do, not good enough,” he added.
