Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has a goal disallowed in Thomas Christiansen’s side’s last match.

Cooper is yet to hit the back of the net this season, but did come close in his last appearance against Aston Villa.
The centre-back had the ball in the back of the net from a free-kick, but saw his header disallowed.
Leeds now have a set-pieces coach, in the form of Gianni Vio, and Cooper believes the increased creativity from dead ball situations should benefit the side.

“Gianni has been on to us in training about making those runs,” he said.
“We can create problems and we can be much more of a threat from set-plays. I’m due a goal. Seemingly I was inches offside. Pontus said he was definitely off but he wasn’t sure about me. Someone saw the video and told me after the game that I was by a couple of inches. Sometimes you get that luck but we do look a threat.”
Leeds actually did score from a set-piece against Villa, with Pontus Jansson getting on the scoresheet from a corner.
The powerful Swedish defender outmuscled Chris Samba to put the ball beyond Sam Johnstone and into the back of the net.

If Leeds can get their centre-backs scoring regularly it would be a major boost to the Yorkshire side’s promotion chances.
Leeds are currently in eighth place in the Championship table, and have a five point gap to make up if they are to break into the play off spots.
Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road.
