Gaetano Berardi is an important player for Leeds United.

Berardi is a versatile full-back who can operate as a right-back or as a left-back.
The 29-year-old, who has earned one cap for the Switzerland national football team, has played twice for Leeds in the Championship so far this season.
During the 2016-17 campaign, the former Brescia and Sampdoria defender started 24 Championship matches for the Whites, providing one assist in the process.

Berardi has admitted that he did not expect to play as many games as he has as a left-back for Leeds.
“No, no, but I have played a lot of games on the left,” said Berardi when asked if he expected to play as many matches as he has on the left, as quoted in a video in The Yorkshire Evening Post. “I can play everywhere. Everyone wants to play, so left or right, it’s not a problem.”

Leeds have made a strong start to the 2017-18 Championship campaign and are among the sides aiming for a top-six finish.
Thomas Christiansen’s side are at the top of the league table with 17 points from eight matches, level on points with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City, who are second and third respectively in the standings.
The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Ipswich Town at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.
